Ukraine is an important point on European Union's agenda - Várhelyi
EU Commissioner for Neighborhood Policy and Enlargement Olivér Várhelyi says Ukraine is high on EU agenda
He stated this in Kyiv at a meeting of the Commission for Coordination of the Implementation of the Association Agreement between Ukraine and the EU, the EP reports.
Olivér Várhelyi noted that Ukraine remained "very high" on the agenda of the European Union and the bloc shared the goal of further European integration of Ukraine.
The European Commissioner told how the Association Agreement with the EU would be updated.
"We share common values, as well as the goal of Ukraine's further integration into the EU.
I'm convinced that our cooperation strengthens Ukraine's resilience to all external challenges and brings significant benefits to Ukrainians," said the European Commissioner.
Olivér Várhelyi also spoke about how the Association Agreement between Ukraine and the EU would be updated.
To recap, on January 26, Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration of Ukraine Olha Stefanishyna and EU Commissioner for Neighborhood and Enlargement Olivér Várhelyi held a joint briefing at the press center of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.
The briefing took place following a meeting of the Commission for Coordination of the Implementation of the Association Agreement between Ukraine and the EU.
