British Foreign Secretary plans to arrive in Ukraine next week
British Foreign Secretary Liz Truss will visit Ukraine next week
She said this at a hearing in parliament, according to European Pravda.
In her speech, Truss said that "next week I will visit Ukraine."
She also reiterated that the new Russian invasion of Ukraine would be a huge strategic mistake.
"Further military invasion of Ukraine by Russi would be a huge strategic mistake and would cause serious damage to the Russian economy, including coordinated sanctions," said Liz Truss.
At the same time, according to the minister, British troops are unlikely to be deployed to carry out combat missions in Ukraine.
When asked about the possible deployment of troops to carry out combat missions, Truss said: "It is unlikely that such circumstances will take place."
She added that Britain was working to ensure that Ukraine had the necessary defense weapons and training, as well as the support of the international community.
As reported by Rubryka, the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom Boris Johnson believes that Russia has a plan for a blitz war on the territory of Ukraine.
The day before, it became known that the United Kingdom is recalling some embassy staff in Ukraine and members of their families in response to the "growing threat" from Russia.
British officials said there were no particular threats to British diplomats, but about half of those working in Kyiv would return to Britain.
