NATO announces an increase in military presence in Eastern Europe
The North Atlantic Alliance announced an increase in military presence in Eastern Europe due to the threat of a new Russian invasion of Ukraine.
This is stated in NATO's statement published on Monday, January 24, on its official website.
"I congratulate allies that provide additional NATO forces. NATO will continue to take all necessary measures to protect all allies, including by strengthening the eastern part of the Alliance. We will always react to any escalation of the security situation, including through the strengthening of our collective defense," said Jeans Jens Stoltenberg.
