Ukrainian woman entered 50 Over 50 list by Forbes

Forbes magazine has published a list of women over 50. It includes one Ukrainian woman.

The Forbes website reports.

In 2021, Forbes first unveiled the 50 Over 50 list. It included exclusively women from the United States. This year, the rating expanded and amounted to 50 women over 50 years old, which have succeeded and have a significant impact in Europe, Africa, and the Middle East.

One Ukrainian woman, the economist and the entrepreneur, 71-year-old Filia Zhebrovska, entered the list. She manages the Supervisory Board of one of the oldest and largest pharmaceutical companies in Ukraine, Farmak.

"One of the richest and most successful businesswomen in Ukraine, Zhebrovska has helped grow pharmaceutical company Farmak into one of the largest pharma exporters in Ukraine. She served as the company's CEO from 1995 until 2007 and has been the chairwoman of its board for the past 14 years," Forbes states. In addition, Zebrovska owns 100 patents in Ukraine.

The list also includes BioNTech co-founder, Özlem Türeci, Belarusian writer Svetlana Alexievich, British actress Judi Dench,  president of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen, managing director of the IMF Kristalina Georgieva, President of the European Central Bank Christine Lagarde, President of Tanzania Samia Suluhu Hassan and others.
