Canadian and French Foreign Ministers Mélanie Joly and Jean-Yves Le Drian discussed ways to deter Russian aggression against Ukraine and stressed the need for dialogue

"Among the issues discussed during the meeting, the ministers shared their views on the accumulation of Russian troops in and around Ukraine. Minister Mélanie Joly stressed the importance of maintaining steadfast support for Ukraine to deter further Russian aggression," the Canadian Foreign Ministry said.
Mélanie Joly and Jean-Yves Le Drian also stressed the importance of continuing the dialogue to find a peaceful solution to the conflict.
"Among other topics of conversation was the situation in Lebanon, Central Africa, and the Indo-Pacific region," the agency added.
