Free excursions for welfare beneficiaries launched in Kherson
On Sunday, January 16, the first social excursion in 2022 for welfare beneficiaries took place with the support of the city's marketing and tourism department
Rubryka reported this, referring to the website of the Kherson City Council.
According to the report, the tourists walked through the central part of the city and learned "Unusual stories of the Greek Quarter" from the famous guide and video blogger Yehor Sydorovych.
"Citizens were told that Greek immigrants from the island of Chios in the Aegean Sea became one of the first inhabitants of Kherson.
They made a significant contribution to the development of the city district, located west of the Kherson fortress. At one time, the best shops, warehouses, administrative institutions were located there," the message reads.
Social tours will take place quarterly throughout 2022.
