The good news is that 7 new retail chains and 62 offices have joined our movement last year! There are now about 1,750 (!) reliable battery collection points in Ukraine. You can find the nearest open collection point on our map 👇
Also, Ukrainians began to hand over significantly more batteries correctly. For example, last year we sent 7 trucks of batteries for recycling, but these batteries were collected in Ukraine during the previous eight years. Now we have sent 5 trucks that have assembled in 2021.
However, more than 90% of all batteries imported into Ukraine each year still end up in landfills after their expiration date," the statement said.
