Ukraine to take part in world's most prestigious rally Rallye Monte-Carlo Classique for the first time
For the first time, the Ukrainian team will compete in the world's most prestigious rally Rallye Monte-Carlo Classique on national retro cars.

The Rallye Monte-Carlo Classique has been held by the Monaco Automobile Club for 111 years.
This year, for the first time in the history of these most prestigious retro car competitions, six Ukrainian crews received a license to participate. The Ukrainian team will perform on ZAZ cars 965, 965A, 966, 968 of 1961-1972.
Crews from five Ukrainian cities–Kyiv, Lviv, Ternopil, Chernivtsi, and Zaporizhzhia–will take part in the race.
The races in France and Monaco will run from January 30 to February 2, 2022.
The organizers of the project are the Revived Kyiv Motorists' Club and the Media Agency for Regional Initiatives.
According to Roman Shchypkov, head of the Ukrainians at the Monte-Carlo Classique Rallye, the symbolic start of Ukrainian rally participants is scheduled for January 19 in Zaporizhzhia. The coach of the Ukrainian team was Ari Vatanen, a legendary racer, four-time winner of the rally Paris-Dakar. Ari will meet the Ukrainian team at the end of the race in Monaco.
