Ukraine will discuss NATO vetoing arms supplies with Germany.

"We will, of course, talk to the Germans in general about the supply of weapons to Ukraine as such. I am less worried about how to do it, through the NATO mechanism or otherwise," said the Minister.

According to him, this is a matter of principle, as there are no restrictions on arms trade with Ukraine.

"And we are a responsible participant in the international arms market, so any restrictions are imposed by individual countries, not for legal or security reasons, but purely political. I believe that in relations with Germany, such restrictions are not in line with the spirit and nature of our bilateral relations," added Dmytro Kuleba.

Ukraine's Defense Ministry has accused Germany of blocking NATO arms supplies.

Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba discussed Nord Stream 2 with the newly appointed Federal Minister for Foreign Affairs of Germany Annalena Berbock and the situation in Donbas.

According to Kuleba, Ukraine is negotiating with Germany to resume arms purchases through the NATO Support and Supply Agency.

On December 14, Zelenskyy reacted to information that Germany had blocked arms supplies to Ukraine.

Ukrainian Ambassador to Germany Andrii Melnyk said that with the arrival of the new German government, the position on arms supplies to Ukraine remained negative.

Angela Merkel's future successor as leader of the Christian Democratic Union (CDU), Friedrich Merz, has called for arms supplies to Ukraine.
