It became known how the new American University in the River Port building will look like.
Ukrainian and American investors joined the launch of the university, including Cintana Education President Rick Shangrow, BGV Group Management founder and co-owner ATB Market Hennadii Butkevych, and Kurt Volker, former US State Department special envoy for Ukraine.
Forbes Ukraine spoke with Kurt Volker, co-founder of the American University in Kyiv, about what the future university will look like.
At the same time, visualizations of the new university were revealed.
According to Walker, the university aims to accept the first students for master's programs in the spring of 2022, and for a bachelor's degree, in September.
In general, the official start of training should begin in the fall of 2022.
First, programs in management and IT will be opened, followed by programs in engineering, architecture, design, and law.
The cost of studying at Kyiv's American University promises to be much lower than in the United States or other countries where Ukrainian students go.
"We're trying to set a market price, it won't be very different from what Ukrainians already pay in private schools. We'll also subsidize tuition fees for the first few years and give a discount to make the university as affordable as possible," Walker said.
