Erdogan to visit Ukraine early next year
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan will visit Ukraine in early 2022.
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba said this in his speech at the event "Diplomacy 2022: Priorities of the Foreign Policy Strategy of Ukraine," according to an Ukrinform correspondent.
"Early [next] year, Turkish President Erdogan will visit Ukraine to hold a meeting of the High-Level Strategic Council. This will be the next step for the development of our relations," he said.
Kuleba stressed that Ukrainian-Turkish relations are critical to the security of the Black Sea region, the strengthening of Ukraine's defense capabilities and the fight for Ukrainian Crimea.
Erdogan said in late November that Turkey was ready to act as a mediator in resolving the situation in eastern Ukraine as it maintains good relations with both countries and hopes for a peaceful settlement.
