Macron intends to talk to Zelenskyy and Putin, the Elysee Palace says

In the coming days, French President Emmanuel Macron plans to hold a telephone conversation with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Russian leader Volodymyr Putin.

This was reported by BFM TV.

The Elysee Palace said the purpose of the telephone conversation would be to focus on "de-escalation in the region."

It is noted that yesterday US President Joe Biden briefed key European allies, including Macron, on the results of his video conversation with Putin.

Biden's virtual meeting with Putin was reportedly held on Tuesday. At the same time, the American leader voiced the concerns of the United States and the entire Western world about Russia's military activity around Ukraine.

Biden intends to call Zelenskyy on Thursday, December 9, to discuss, in particular, the results of talks with Putin.
