Foreign Ministers of Ukraine and Hungary discussed security and national minorities in Riga
The foreign ministers of Ukraine and Hungary discussed security and national minorities at a meeting in Riga on Thursday.
They reported about it on social media.
Dmytro Kuleba and Péter Szijjártó talked on the sidelines of a meeting of NATO foreign ministers.
Kuleba informed Szijjártó about the security situation in the temporarily occupied territories and along the state border of Ukraine in the context of Russia's ongoing armed aggression, the Foreign Ministry's press service said.
Зустрілися у Ризі з Петером Сійярто. Є спільне розуміння, що попри окремі складні двосторонні питання, безпека України — це також безпека Угорщини та всього східного флангу НАТО. pic.twitter.com/eNt4Z6iDcy

Péter Szijjártó, writing about the conversation with the Ukrainian minister, noted that "difficult issues are on the agenda of bilateral relations."
He made it clear that the issue was about national minorities.
"We want the situation to improve. A lot will depend on the draft law on national communities," Szijjártó wrote on Facebook.
