Profession For Life project implemented in Donetsk region for socialization of ATO/JFO veterans with disabilities
An all-Ukrainian project "Profession For Life" is being implemented in Sviatohirsk for the adaptation and socialization of ATO/JFO veterans with disabilities.
This was reported in the Department of Family, Youth, and Mass Events of National-Patriotic Education of the Donetsk Regional State Administration.
"The all-Ukrainian project, Profession For Life, aimed at improving the level of adaptation and socialization of ATO/JFO veterans with disabilities, is being implemented in Sviatohirsk. The project was developed by the NGO Union of ATO Veterans with Disabilities," the statement reads.
It is noted that the NGO Union of ATO Veterans with Disabilities won the annual competition of the programs developed by civil society institutions, which are provided with financial support from the Fund for Social Protection of the Disabled.
This time, the project is designed for 18 people from among ATO/JFO veterans with disabilities.
During the project implementation, participants will be trained in selected specialties: landscaping, complex maintenance and repair of houses, a cashier of the retail floor, and an operator for information processing and software.
They will also undergo a course of rehabilitation activities: exercise classes, speleotherapy sessions, massage sessions, aqua aerobics classes, classes on psychological education and social adaptation; will receive legal advice.
The Regional State Administration stated that the measure was implemented in compliance with quarantine restrictions. All participants have full vaccination certificates, undergo daily temperature screening, and are provided with personal protective equipment.
