Battalion exercises of marines conducted in Kherson region

Battalion tactical exercises with combat firing and aircraft involvement took place at one of the combat training grounds, near the administrative border with the temporarily occupied territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea.
The public relations department of the Joint Forces Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this.
A Marine battalion reinforced by a tank company and a unit of army helicopters was involved in the exercises.
According to the legend of the exercises, the advanced unit, with the support of the army aircraft, repulsed a detachment of the Marines of the conventional enemy, trying to break through the defense. In addition, the Marines, supported by tanks and artillery, made it impossible for the main enemy forces to advance into the defenses.
Having successfully completed the combat mission, the military skillfully carried out raids, occupied the dominant heights, and repulsed the forces of the conventional enemy.

"These tactical exercises are an integral part of maintaining the combat capability of units," said the commander of the Joint Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Lieutenant-General Serhii Naiev.
During the training, the personnel received the practice of fighting, and the commanders of all units worked out the interaction in conditions close to combat.
According to the commander, their primary goal was for everyone in their place to make timely and informed decisions. That is why the urgent aspect of these exercises was to check the level of training of officers, sergeants, and soldiers, as well as the formation of their high moral and psychological qualities.

"It should be noted that during all the maneuvers, some moments were corrected and amended by the commanders. The exercises exist to avoid mistakes in a real battle. The soldiers who took part in the training coped with the tasks. The goal of the training has been achieved," Lieutenant-General Serhii Naiev stressed.
