This was reported by Skhidnyi Variant with reference to the UNDP release.
"Our citizens will save tens of thousands of hours of life without standing in line. Now people will have a single window where they can get services quickly and efficiently. For us, these are the first steps. We hope not the last. These are the steps we call the soft power of integration. Thanks to everyone involved. I wish you successful work and grateful customers," said Iryna Vereshchuk, Deputy Prime Minister for the Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories, at a briefing after the center's opening.
UNDP Resident Representative in Ukraine Dafina Gercheva, who was present at the opening, stressed that UNDP in Ukraine helped to improve and expand access to public services in communities affected by the armed conflict in eastern Ukraine, offering local people practical solutions to their needs.
"We are implementing programs in collaboration with international partners and local authorities, helping stakeholders identify innovative and long-term solutions to development challenges, as well as strengthen sustainability, social inclusion, and cohesion," added Ms. Gercheva. "We want local governments to be equipped with all the necessary tools to meet people's demands and promote sustainable development."
Deputy Minister of Digital Transformation Liudmyla Rabchynska noted that from now on about 25,000 residents of Stanytsia Luhanska, as well as residents of territories not controlled by the Ukrainian government, would be able to receive more than 200 public services in a single space, conveniently and quickly.
"We are working to increase the number of modernized Centers," Ms. Rabchynska added.
She clarified that 260 services were available in the Stanitsa-Luhansk "Diia Center," and later their number would increase to 400.
The Ministry of Digital Transformation noted that "Diia Centers" differed from conventional administrative service centers in that they meet 12 criteria: "convenient, fast, modern, barrier-free, simple, humane, reliable, excellent, accessible, transparent, friendly and efficient."
The building and equipment of the Center for Administrative Services in Stanytsia Luhanska in the amount of $500,000 were carried out by UNDP under the United Nations Program for the Restoration and Peacebuilding with the financial support of the European Union.
