Stoltenberg invited Kuleba to a meeting of NATO foreign ministers

NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg expressed support for Ukraine in the field of security and invited the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine to participate in the meeting of Allied Foreign Ministers to be held in Riga in December.

The head of the Alliance announced this today in Brussels during a press conference following talks with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Ukrinform reports.

"NATO supports Ukraine, and it doesn't pose a threat to Russia. All Allied exercises in the Black Sea region are defensive and transparent. Therefore, Mr. Kuleba, we will remain in close contact with the development of this situation (with the concentration of Russian troops on Ukraine's borders). I hope to welcome you to Riga for a meeting of NATO Foreign Ministers next month," said Jens Stoltenberg.

In turn, Dmytro Kuleba thanked for the invitation to the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine and Georgia and expressed confidence in the continuation of Ukraine's fruitful partnership with the North Atlantic Alliance.

As reported, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba is paying a working visit to Brussels.

One of the main topics in the negotiations with the EU and NATO partners is the security situation around Ukraine after Russia's next steps to increase its military presence on Ukraine's borders and in its temporarily occupied territories in Crimea and Donbas.

Today, the Ukrainian official will also take part in a meeting of representatives of key European institutions with the Foreign Ministers of the Eastern Partnership in preparation for the summit of this program in December this year.
