Ukraine has first positive signs of stabilization of the number of covid patients - Liashko

Health Minister Viktor Liashko said that the first positive signs of stabilization in the number of patients with Covid-19 had been recorded in Ukraine.

He stated this at a briefing, the UP reports.

"Ukraine has the first positive signs of stabilization in the number of patients, but the risk of continued growth is still high," the minister said.

According to the Minister, mortality is a delayed indicator and may continue to grow for 2-3 weeks after the disease of incidence.

In particular, a record 833 people died in Ukraine over the past 24 hours, diagnosed with coronavirus.

Liashko noted that currently in Ukraine the mortality rate was 1.5-2 times lower than the peak value of 2021 in some European countries.

According to the Ministry of Health, the number of new cases of coronavirus has stabilized, while in the previous 4 days, a record number of deaths due to Covid have been recorded twice since the beginning of the pandemic.

Note

On November 8, 18,988 cases of Covid-19 were recorded in Ukraine, 833 patients died from complications, and 16,609 people recovered.

On November 7, 13,068 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 coronavirus disease were registered in Ukraine, 473 patients died.

On November 6, more than 17,000 new Covid infections were detected in the country, killing 449 people.
