Vereshchuk appointed Ukraine's deputy prime minister

The Verkhovna Rada has appointed Iryna Vereshchuk as Ukraine's deputy prime minister and minister for the reintegration of temporarily occupied territories.

Some 260 MPs voted for a respective decision at a parliament meeting on Thursday, November 4, according to an Ukrinform correspondent.

The Verkhovna Rada dismissed Oleksiy Reznikov as Ukraine's deputy prime minister and minister for the reintegration of temporarily occupied territories on November 3. He was appointed Ukraine's defense minister on November 4.

Vereshchuk is an MP elected in the early parliamentary elections in July 2029 on the ticket of the Servant of the People party. She heads the subcommittee on state security and defense of the Verkhovna Rada committee on national security, defense and intelligence. She ran for Kyiv mayor in the 2020 local elections.
