Genius Olympiad to be held for schoolchildren for the first time in Ukraine
Ukraine became the first country in the world to receive a license from the United States to host the national Genius Olympiad.
The Embassy of Ukraine in the United States reported this on Facebook.
It is noted that the project is designed to study the environment and ecology.
On Wednesday, November 3, in Washington at the Embassy of Ukraine in the United States, the Minor Academy of Sciences of Ukraine signed a contract to establish the first national Genius Olympiad in Ukraine. The first selection among Ukrainian schoolchildren will start this year.
The Genius Olympiad is the largest international competition for research projects on environmental protection and ecology. Every year, more than 1,000 schoolchildren from more than 80 countries take part in it.
The embassy noted that the launch of pilot projects was planned in Ukraine, Mexico, South Korea, and Kuwait, but Ukraine was the first to sign a license agreement for the national stage of the competition at home.
