In Lviv, American surgeons will operate on 25 children with heart defects
From November 8 to 20, leading surgeons from the charity, Novick Cardiac Alliance (USA) will operate on 25 children with severe heart defects from all over Ukraine at the Lviv Clinical Emergency Care Hospital.
The press service of the Lviv City Council reported this.
"We've been performing such interventions for more than a year. Our task is to gain additional experience from the world's leading specialists and help as many children with congenital heart disease as possible," the ambulance hospital said.
The youngest patient to be operated on is only 3 months old.
The team of highly qualified Novick Cardiac Alliance specialists includes 12 doctors: cardiac surgeons, anesthesiologists, resuscitators, nurses.
Lviv Clinical Emergency Care Hospital is the only center in Western Ukraine that provides cardiac surgery to babies from birth.
