Cabinet of Ministers allocates almost UAH 22 million for purchasing temporary housing for IDPs
Almost UAH 22 million of subventions will be allocated to local budgets to support internally displaced persons in need of assistance in providing temporary housing.
This decision was made at a meeting on October 28, according to the Government portal.
"The subsidy will be received by 11 regions. With these funds, it is planned to purchase 53 real estate objects and repair 13 objects for temporary residence of about 242 internally displaced persons," said Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal.
The government has also approved a Strategy for the Integration of Internally Displaced Persons.
According to the Prime Minister, the purpose of the document is to create conditions for integrating internally displaced persons in the territorial communities that receive them.
"In particular, it is a question of ensuring full access to administrative, social and other services, as well as creating conditions for the development of the potential of internally displaced persons in their new place of residence," the Prime Minister said.
According to him, today in Ukraine there are more than 1 million 400 thousand internally displaced persons, so the implementation of such a strategy is critical.
