Entrepreneurs in Donetsk region created "smart" clothes

The East Ukrainian techno-cluster from Kramatorsk and the sewing company VELNA from Ukraine created "smart" clothes: a jacket and a vest with heating.

This is stated on the Facebook page of the USAID Project "Economic Support to Eastern Ukraine."

After participating in the training on the development of inter-cluster cooperation, entrepreneurs in the IT and sewing industries joined forces.

Representatives of the Bakhmut Agency for Sustainable Development and Innovation, which helps light industry enterprises in the Donetsk region to implement innovations, joined the project.

Thus, a new product was born: a heated jacket. The first models were presented in Kyiv. Entrepreneurs were also invited to visit the United Arab Emirates in 2022 with their products.

According to the head of the East Ukrainian techno-cluster Pavlo Zaitsev, "smart" clothes are controlled by a mobile application, providing a person with information about his health.

The jackets are now sewn with thermocouples and a sewn-on heating control unit that can be controlled from a mobile phone. They have also developed a mobile application that runs on Android software.

Entrepreneurs plan to create clothes that will have about ten sensors. They will monitor temperature, pressure, heart rate, and other vital human indicators. All this will be controlled by a mobile phone. By purchasing a T-shirt, a person will receive a free mobile application for it.
