Artillery anti-tank reserves trained in Kherson region

In the group of troops, "Pivden," which is subordinated to the Command of the Joint Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, in one of the most threatening areas, artillery anti-tank reserves were trained to respond to the breakthrough of staff and armored vehicles of the conventional enemy.

The public relations department of the Joint Forces Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine announced this, Rubryka reports.

The event took place at one of the combat training grounds of the Kherson region, near the administrative border with the temporarily occupied territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea. Anti-tank soldiers demonstrated practical skills in deploying calculations and shooting at targets, as well as rapid change of positions.

According to legend, during the defense of the Marine Corps of their positions, the conventional enemy, waiting for the reinforcement of armored vehicles, went on the attack.

To deter the offensive, the Marines were given an anti-tank unit.

"In particular, the anti-tank soldiers reached the line of opening fire, set up positions, carried out artillery reconnaissance, and aimed guns at the targets of the correctors," said the commander of the Joint Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Lieutenant-General Serhii Naiev.

According to him, so far not only the coherence of the unit's actions has been taken into account, but also the sequence of implementation of standards.

"Such events take place weekly, under the unit's combat training plan. Their main goal is to maintain a high level of knowledge, skills, and fighting spirit of artillery personnel. During training, anti-tankers showed that in the event of a sudden change in the situation they'll be ready to perform the task qualitatively," the commander emphasized.
