Soon 3 more countries will officially support Ukraine's European prospect - Zelenskyy
According to President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, the number of European Union member states that will support Ukraine's European prospect in writing at the bilateral level will soon increase.
He said this on the air of the "Freedom of Speech" program on ICTV, the press service of the Office of the President reports.
"This year we started preparing bilateral declarations with the EU countries to support Ukraine's European perspective. When Ukraine and the European Union decide that Ukraine can be a member of the EU, the country with which we sign this declaration will vote for us," said Zelenskyy.
He noted that four EU member states had already signed such declarations. Three more documents will be signed soon.
"That is, there will be seven countries out of 27. We will do it step by step. I want it, so we will move forward… We understand that Ukraine's membership in the European Union must be supported by 27 EU member states," the president added.
