Ukraine to export poultry meat to Jordan – MFA
The competent authorities of Ukraine and Jordan have agreed on the form of a certificate for the exports of poultry meat, offal and other poultry products from Ukraine to Jordan, Ukrinform reports, referring to the Ukrainian Ministry for Foreign Affairs.
According to the ministry, the certificate establishes the zoning of the territory of Ukraine for the uninterrupted trade in poultry products, which is valid even in the event of outbreaks of avian influenza.
"We have solved one of the problems of Ukrainian poultry exporters by agreeing on a new certificate with Jordan. The new agreement brings certain results: Ukrainian companies and Jordanian consumers can be confident in the uninterrupted supplies of products from Ukraine," said Minister for Foreign Affairs Dmytro Kuleba.
It is noted that this is the fifth export certificate that Ukraine and Jordan have recently agreed on. Earlier, the competent authorities of the two countries agreed on forms of certificates for Ukraine's exports of chilled frozen beef, chilled sheep meat, cattle and sheep for slaughter.
Head of the State Service on Food Safety and Consumer Protection Vladyslava Mahaletska noted that Ukrainian exporters of poultry meat received new opportunities in the Jordanian market.
Ukraine is currently one of the world's top ten exporters of chicken meat and has the status of a country free of highly pathogenic avian influenza.
