Zelenskyy congratulates the military on the Day of Defenders and Women Defenders of Ukraine

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy congratulated the Ukrainian military on the Day of Defenders and Women Defenders of Ukraine and thanked them for their conscientious performance of military, service, and civilian duty, courage, heroism, and self-sacrifice.
The congratulations were published on the website of the Office of the President, Rubryka reports.
"In these hard years for Ukraine, you perform a feat every day, with weapons in hand, defend your homeland from the Russian aggressor," said Zelenskyy.
He noted that this national holiday had absorbed the deep historical traditions of Ukrainians and was inextricably linked with the feast of the Intercession and the Day of the Ukrainian Cossacks.
On behalf of the Ukrainian people, the President thanked all the defenders and women defenders of Ukraine for conscientious performance of military, service, and civilian duty, courage, heroism, and self-sacrifice.
"We bow low to the bright memory of the fallen and remember all those who died in different times of national history in the struggle for freedom and independence of the Ukrainian state," he said.
According to the head of state, our faith, truth, and victory as symbols of the Feast of the Intercession have always helped us to withstand the fight against enemies and continue to inspire us to victory.
"Let the indomitable and unconquered Cossack spirit of the defenders of the Ukrainian land of all generations be forever an inexhaustible source of inspiration for us to build a modern and strong Ukraine," Zelenskyy stressed.
