Ruslan Stefanchuk was elected the new speaker of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.

261 people's deputies supported the decision.
222 people's deputies from the "Servant of the People" faction, 15 people's deputies from the "For the Future" faction, 18 people's deputies from the "Dovira" faction, and 6 non-partisan voted in favor.
As Rubryka reported, on October 7, people's deputies dismissed Verkhovna Rada Speaker Razumkov, and 284 people's deputies voted in favor.
Razumkov noted that besides the "Servants of the People" faction, Batkivshchyna, "Dovira," "For the Future" and part of the "Voice" voted for his dismissal from the post of the speaker of the parliament. Thus, "we saw a new coalition."
