Joint Forces Command establishing cooperation with Canadian Armed Forces
The Commander of the Joint Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Lieutenant-General Serhii Naiev, held a working meeting with the Deputy Commander of the Joint Operations of Canada, Major General William. F. Seymour.
The Public Relations Department of the Joint Forces Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine announced this, Rubryka reports.
The Canadian colleague was informed about the current military situation around Ukraine, as well as acquainted with the key tasks and functions of the Command in the general management system of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
In addition, Lieutenant-General Serhii Naiev spoke about the further development of the Command, based on the prospects of cooperation with partner countries of the North Atlantic Alliance.
During the dialogue, the parties discussed issues of further cooperation, including cooperation with representatives of the training mission of the Armed Forces of Canada within Operation UNIFIER and the continuation of advisory assistance to acquire the full capabilities of the Joint Forces Command.
"I hope we'll continue to share experiences, increasing and implementing new elements of training of our Command's servicemen with the participation of Canadian instructors," said Lieutenant-General Serhii Naiev.
In turn, he thanked the leadership of the North Atlantic Alliance, represented by Major General Seymour, for his full support, noting the positive changes that have taken place in the Command in gaining interoperability with the armed forces of NATO member countries.
