Infrastructure Minister Oleksandr Kubrakov announced the government's plans to build two new airports in Donbas in two years.

On one of the TV channels, Kubrakov noted that until 2014 there were three airports in Donbas: in Luhansk, Donetsk, and Mariupol.

The Cabinet plans to build one of the airports between Mariupol and Berdiansk.

"It's about 30 km from Mariupol and 20 km to Berdiansk. We're now coordinating the point with the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. We had the last meeting this week," Kubrakov said.

The second airport may appear in Sviatohirsk.

"There's a proposal, Sviatohirsk. Maybe there, if the issue with religious communities is resolved. If we decide on the locations, we'll build them in two years," the minister said.
