Ukraine reports 12,034 new COVID-19 cases

Ukraine has recorded 12,034 new COVID-19 cases in the past 24 hours, the Ukrainian Health Ministry has reported on Facebook.

"Some 12,034 new confirmed cases of coronavirus disease COVID-19 (including 1,059 cases among children and 248 cases among healthcare workers) were recorded in Ukraine on September 30, 2021," the report reads.

According to the report, 172 coronavirus-related deaths, 2,637 hospital admissions, and 3,264 recoveries were registered in Ukraine on September 30.

As many as 2,435,413 people in Ukraine have contracted coronavirus, 2,258,455 have recovered, and 56,446 have died since the pandemic began.

The largest number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the past 24 hours was recorded in Kharkiv region (1,225), Lviv region (794), Zaporizhia region (770), Donetsk region (745), and Dnipropetrovsk region (725).

Some 11,757 new COVID-19 cases were recorded in Ukraine on September 29.
