50 hectares of forest will be planted in Vinnytsia region within 2 months

In the Vinnytsia region, 50 hectares of new forest plantations will be created during October and November.

This was reported in the press service of the Vinnytsia Regional Department of Forestry and Hunting, Ukrinform reports.

"We're ready for the beginning of the All-Ukrainian initiative, 'Let's Create Forests Together!' In the state forest fund, in areas under Vinnytsia Regional Department of Forestry and Hunting, we've identified where organized autumn tree planting will be carried out. In total, forest cultural plantations will be created on an area of ​​50 hectares. 230-250 thousand trees will be planted for this purpose," the press service said.

The department noted that 11 state forestries of the Vinnytsia Regional Department of Forestry and Hunting had prepared a variety of planting materials of the main forest-forming species and decorative planting material.

Besides foresters, veterans of forestry and pupils of 50 student forestries will take part in the initiative.

This year, as part of the planned forestry activities of the state forestry of the Vinnytsia Regional Department of Forestry and Hunting, created 1 thousand hectares of forests in the Vinnytsia region, planting about 5 million seedlings of forest-forming species.
