Within President Volodymyr Zelenskyy's program, "Healthy Ukraine," the "Active Parks – Locations of Healthy Ukraine" project is being implemented, which aims to create conditions for the physical activity of citizens and promote a healthy lifestyle among Ukrainians.

In particular, the project envisages the creation of "active park" and "sports ground" locations in Ukrainian cities, the Office of the President states.

About 100 "active parks" have already been opened in different parts of Ukraine, and by the end of the year, about 600 more active locations will appear.

Each "active park" is equipped with QR-codes, thanks to which the visitor can choose a piece of training of any complexity, selecting their coach from pop stars, cinema, professional athletes, or train with the President of Ukraine.

The project also begins the installation of sports grounds, which will be in virtually every yard; the construction of 10 thousand such facilities is expected by the end of 2022.

Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Kyrylo Tymoshenko noted that, according to statistics, 73% of Ukrainian citizens don't exercise because of the lack of available modern and free sports infrastructure. The average life expectancy of Ukrainians is 63 years for men and 73 years for women, and according to these indicators, Ukraine ranks 115th in the world.

"This program of the President is aimed at all age groups and groups of the population. We want as many of our citizens as possible to be involved in regular sports. To strengthen the health of Ukrainians and reduce the incidence of diseases caused by insufficient physical activity. To improve the quality and life expectancy of our people," Kyrylo Tymoshenko said.
