In Ukraine, patients with mental disorders will be provided with free medication: how to get it
From October 1, patients with mental and behavioral disorders will be able to receive medication for free or for a small fee.
The National Health Service of Ukraine reported this.
These include diseases such as epilepsy, schizophrenia, post-traumatic stress disorder, depression, affective and neurotic disorders.
Medicines can be obtained at any pharmacy that has a contract with the NHSU.
HOW TO GET IT?
To receive drugs under the Affordable Care Act, patients need to:
- visit the specialist attending physician (neurologist or psychiatrist);
- have the doctor to create an individual treatment plan and enter it into the electronic health care system;
- get an electronic prescription for drugs.
Medication is only available with an electronic prescription from a psychiatrist or neurologist. Family doctors cannot prescribe.
