3,663 new COVID-19 cases confirmed in Ukraine in a day

As of September 8, 2021, 3,663 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 coronavirus disease were recorded in Ukraine (including 342 children and 63 medical workers).

This is evidenced by data from the Ministry of Health as of the morning of Thursday, September 9.

The daily incidence rate rose sharply, the day before, 2,772 cases of infection were confirmed.

Also, yesterday:

◾️ 981 people were hospitalized;
◾️ 61 fatalities;
◾️ 1,546 people recovered.

Tested per day:
◾️ by PCR – 27,895 people,
◾️ by EIA – 9,397 people,
◾️ express tests – 25,438 people.

During the whole pandemic in Ukraine:
◾️ 2,306,939 people fell ill;
◾️ 2,217,563 people recovered;
◾️ 54,175 fatalities;
◾️ 12,188,070 PCR tests were performed.

Over the last 24 hours, the largest number of confirmed cases was registered in Kyiv (379), Lviv (318), Kharkiv (302), Odesa (222), and Dnipropetrovsk (209) regions.

  • Kyiv region – 116 cases;
  • Kirovohrad region – 18 cases;
  • Luhansk region – 150 cases;
  • Lviv region – 318 cases;
  • Mykolaiv region – 51 cases;
  • Odesa region – 222 cases;
  • Poltava region – 79 cases;
  • Rivne region – 93 cases;
  • Sumy region – 113 cases;
  • Ternopil region – 159 cases;
  • Kharkiv region – 302 cases;
  • Kherson region – 93 cases;
  • Khmelnytskyi region – 130 cases;
  • Cherkasy region – 81 cases;
  • Chernivtsi region – 183 cases;
  • Chernihiv region – 98 cases.

Data from the temporarily occupied territories of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, Donetsk, Luhansk regions, and the city of Sevastopol are absent.

Adaptive quarantine operates in Ukraine, the country is divided into zones. While all regions are in the green zone, next week they may turn yellow.

More than 10 million coronavirus vaccinations have already been given in Ukraine, and more than 4.5 million people have received two doses.

161 169 people were vaccinated against COVID-19 for the past 24 hours on September 8, 2021. 56 193 people received one dose, 104 976 people were fully immunized.

Since the beginning of the vaccination campaign, 5,722,212 people have been vaccinated, of whom 5,722,210 have received a single dose, 4,512,000 have been fully immunized and received two doses (two of them have received one dose abroad). A total of 10,234,210 vaccinations were performed.
