Motor Sich, Antonov sign UAH 920M deal
Motor Sich has signed a major contract with Antonov (an aviation design bureau that is part of the Ukroboronprom defense conglomerate) aimed at increasing engine life for the iconic Mriya and Ruslan cargo aircraft.
That's according to Defense Express, Rubryka reports.
The contract provides for a gradual increase in service and storage life of aircraft turbojet two-circuit three-shaft engines of the D-18T family, the report notes.
According to the data published on the ProZorro site, the expected volume of contract stands at UAH 920 million.
Motor Sich has been contracted to increase service life of aircraft engines within the operational life for An-124-100 Ruslan and An-225 Mriya.
As it is specified, Antonov Airlines operates seven Ruslans and an An-225 Mriya.
