Over 166,500 Ukrainians vaccinated against COVID-19

A total of 166,551 people were vaccinated against COVID-19 in Ukraine on Friday, August 27, the Ministry of Health of Ukraine has reported on Facebook.

"As many as 166,551 people were vaccinated against COVID-19 on August 27, 2021. Some 57,435 people received their first dose, and 109,116 people were fully vaccinated," the report reads.

According to the ministry, 1,023 mobile vaccination teams, 2,934 vaccination sites, and 340 vaccination centres were operating across the country in the past day.

A total of 8,802,596 doses have been administered in Ukraine since it launched a vaccination campaign, with 5,265,633 people receiving their first dose and 3,536,963 people receiving both doses (two people received their first dose abroad).

Some 2,082 new coronavirus cases were registered in Ukraine on August 27.
