Liashko explains what happens to expired covid-certificates
The certificate expires after vaccination or illness for Ukrainians who were vaccinated in February. The WHO doesn't recommend a third dose of the vaccine.
Liashko announced this at a briefing on implementing COVID-certificates in Diia and mutual recognition with the EU.
The minister was asked what would happen to expired certificates and whether a third dose needed to be vaccinated to extend them.
"For Ukrainians who were vaccinated in February, the sixth month is approaching (the term of the certificate after vaccination or illness is 180 days – ed.). This issue is currently being studied by our colleagues from both the EU and the WHO. So far, the WHO doesn't recommend booster third dose, but we will receive the answer to whether the certificate will be extended to 12 months shortly, and be sure to inform the public," Liashko said.
