Rescuers who helped put out fires in Greece return to Ukraine

A special flight from Athens returned 100 Ukrainian rescuers who took part in extinguishing large-scale forest fires in Greece.

The State Emergency Service announced this, Rubryka reports.

Rescuers were congratulated on a return and thanked for their work.

Since the beginning of the works, the joint unit of the State Emergency Service has eliminated fires along the front of more than 19,000 meters, with a depth of up to 60 meters, eliminated a ground fire on an area of 1.7 hectares and a crown fire area of 350 square meters. m.

In addition, 2 settlements, Spatari and Metoky, were saved.

Earlier, aviators of the State Emergency Service who provided assistance in extinguishing large-scale forest fires in Turkey returned to Ukraine.
