Ukrainian rescuers continue to fight forest fires in Greece
On August 10, a combined SES unit of 100 people carried out work in Northern Evia, near the city of Kamatriades.

Ukrainian firefighters localized a ground fire at the fire edge of about 4,500 m and eliminated individual cells in an area of 1.2 hectares. The crown fire was localized in the area of 900 sq. m.
During the works, a detached house, 2 outbuildings, 13 beehives, 23 hectares of olive and fig orchards were saved.
As reported by Rubryka, forest fires have been raging in Greece since last Tuesday, July 27. The fire damaged dozens of homes and cars. A strong wind prevented the fire rescuers from coping quickly with the fire. Dozens of people who inhaled smoke were taken to hospitals.
In addition, forest fires are raging in Italy, Turkey, Albania, Cyprus, and Northern Macedonia.
To recap, on August 6, a joint unit of firefighters from all over the country flew from the Kyiv airport to Greece with the necessary equipment on behalf of the President of Ukraine and the government.
