Ukrainian army is ready for a full-scale invasion - Commander-in-Chief of Armed Forces

The Armed Forces of Ukraine are ready to withstand a full-scale Russian invasion.

The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valerii Zaluzhnyi stated this during a visit to the exercise headquarters on Zmiinyi Island, the press service of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reports.

The new Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine stressed that Ukraine was ready to defend itself and repel enemy attacks both in the event of a full-scale invasion and in attempts to seize critical infrastructure and strategically important objects.

From August 9 to 13, exercises will be held at five training grounds and Zmiinyi Island with the participation of the Armed Forces Command and the Armed Forces. On Monday, such exercises were attended by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

Last week, Volodymyr Zelenskyy carried out personnel changes among security officers. Almost a dozen leaders lost their positions in the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Security Service, the Ministry of Defense, and the Armed Forces. In particular, the President fired the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Ruslan Khomchak, and appointed Valerii Zaluzhnyi, Commander of the North Operational Command, in his place.
