Ukrainian Yaroslava Mahuchikh wins bronze in high jump at 2020 Olympics

Yaroslava Mahuchikh has won bronze for Ukraine in the women's high jump at the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games with fellow Ukrainian athlete Iryna Herashchenko coming in fourth place. 

This was reported by the press service of the National Olympic Committee of Ukraine on Facebook.

Succeeding in jumping a height of 2 meters, Mahuchikh entered into contention for a medal, however she failed two attempts to jump heights of 2.02 and 2.04 meters, ultimately earning her the bronze medal.

"Ukrainian athlete Yaroslava Mahuchikh is a bronze medalist of Tokyo-2020! 19-year-old Yaroslava Maguchikh with a score of 2 m gets a bronze in the high jump and brings Ukraine the 18th prize of the Olympic Games in Tokyo! Note that our athlete was the youngest among 14 finalists Games-2020 ", said in the message.
