Ukrainian Liudmila Luzan won "bronze" at 2020 Olympics in canoe sprint
Ukrainian Liudmyla Luzan took third place in the canoe sprint at the Olympic Games in Tokyo. This is the twelfth medal for Ukraine, including the ninth bronze.
The National Olympic Committee reported this.
Luzan won the bronze medal in the singles in the 200 meters with a result of 47.034 seconds. Only American Nevin Harrison (45.932 seconds) and Canadian Laurence Vincent-Lapointe (46.786 seconds) were faster than her.
Luzan's medal became the first for Ukraine in rowing at the Olympic Games in Tokyo.
For 24-year-old Luzan, it's the first adult Olympic Games in his career. However, in 2014, she won silver medals at the Youth Olympics.
In addition, Luzan is a five-time winner of the European Championship. In particular, she has won two gold medals at the 2021 European Championship.
