Ukraine won the first silver medal at the Olympic Games in Tokyo. Mykhailo Romanchuk became the second in the 1500-meter freestyle swim.
This is his second award at the 2020 Olympics.
A few days ago, Romanchuk also got a bronze medal in the 800-meter swim.
This is Ukraine's sixth award at the Olympic Games in Tokyo. Earlier, Ukrainian athletes received five bronze medals.

Mykhailo Romanchuk said it took 18 years to win. "Since I was six when I started to swim and came to my coach Petro Nahirny, with whom I succeeded to reach all results. Of course, it will not happen without him," the swimmer said.
