Ukrainian swimmer wins the semifinals and sets an Olympic record

Ukrainian swimmer Mykhailo Romanchuk set an Olympic record in the 800-meter freestyle.
This was reported by the Swimming Federation of Ukraine and the Olympics website.
Romanchuk won the semifinals in the 800 meters with a result of 7.41.28. Thus, he set an Olympic and national record.
The athlete reached the final of the Olympic Games in Tokyo.
Ukraine's Serhii Frolov also reached the final with 7.47.67.
