President's Office assures all "Great Construction" objects will be completed on time this year

During the implementation of President Volodymyr Zelenskyi's "Great Construction" program for the Independence Day of Ukraine, 28 landmark objects in all regions are 80% ready.

Deputy Head of the Office of the President, coordinator of the "Big Construction" program Kirill Tymoshenko announced this during a conference, the President's Office reports.

He also noted that in 2021, a total of 741 objects would be implemented within "Great Construction" and all of them would be completed in the previously agreed time.

Deputy Head of the OP set the task to accelerate the implementation of facilities for which the tender hasn't yet been announced or completed and, accordingly, construction and installation work hasn't begun.

During the meeting, the Minister of Culture and Information Policy Oleksandr Tkachenko reminded of the Verkhovna Rada, approving the allocation of funding for UAH 1 billion for repair and restoration works of cultural heritage monuments in public ownership. These funds will go to the implementation of the "Big Construction" project, which is part of the "Big Construction" program.

In the coming days, the heads of regional state administrations will have to submit data on a maximum of two priority objects for each region with the design and estimate documentation fully ready and the actual cost of works, materials, and services known to the Office of the President and the Ministry of Culture.

Earlier, Kyrylo Tymoshenko said that under the "Big Construction" program in 2021, much attention would be paid to railway transport development. In particular, an agreement has already been reached between Ukraine and France on the supply of 130 electric locomotives.
