This week, regions will receive 1 million doses of Moderna vaccine - Liashko

This week, half a Spikevax vaccine manufactured by the American company Moderna will be delivered to the regions, as well as almost 1.4 million doses of Coronavac, Comirnaty, and AstraZeneca vaccines.

Minister of Health Viktor Liashko announced this on Facebook, Rubryka reports.

"This week, the regions will receive another 1,000 020 Moderna vaccine doses for the first vaccination. The second batch will come through at a certain time interval for the second dose; 1,000,000 doses of the Coronavac vaccine from Sinovac Biotech; 299 520 doses of Comirnaty vaccine from Pfizer/BioNTech (which will be delivered to Ukraine on Wednesday and it will be delivered by the weekend, for mass vaccination centers to vaccinate as many people as possible); 100,800 doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine," Liashko said.

Now, according to the Minister, as of the morning, July 19, the regions have:

  • 1 003 589 doses of Coronavac vaccine from Sinovac Biotech;
  • 317 033 doses of Comirnaty vaccine from Pfizer/BioNTech;
  • 220 180 doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine, which are used exclusively for the second vaccination.

Liashko added that the COVID-19 vaccination infrastructure provides for the operation of 3127 vaccinations, which are located throughout the country and including in villages, providing equal access to protection against coronavirus for the entire population of Ukraine.

As reported by Rubryka, on July 18, 2 million doses of the Covid-19 vaccine, produced by the American company Moderna were delivered to Ukraine.
