Authorities are working to cover Ukraine with 4G and introduce 5G as soon as possible - Shmyhal
The government is working to cover the state's territory with 4G as soon as possible and introduce 5G technology soon.
Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal said this, opening the introductory session of the Conference on Reforms in Ukraine in Vilnius, Ukrinform reports.
"The plans are to connect Ukraine to the high-speed 4G Internet and introduce new promising 5G technology soon," Shmyhal said.
According to him, the authorities are working on the development of electronic trust services. Ukraine and the EU have the conclusion of a bilateral agreement on mutually recognizing electronic trust services on the agenda.
Earlier, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov said that among the primary goals of the Ministry of Digital Transformation is to provide 95% of Ukrainians with access to 4G in three years. Currently, the Ministry of Digital Transformation is implementing a coherent plan to cover the territory of Ukraine.
