Members of Ukrainian delegation to TCG left meeting because of a representative of ORDLO terrorists
The members of the Russian delegation summoned the ORDLO representative Maia Pirogova to the meeting of the political subgroup of the Trilateral Contact Group on Donbas, after which the members of the Ukrainian delegation left the meeting.
Serhii Harmash, a member of the Ukrainian delegation to the TCG, spoke about this on the Ukraine 24 TV channel.
According to him, a meeting of the Trilateral Contact Group will take place tomorrow, and TCG working subgroups worked today.
Harmash spoke about the course of the political subgroup informal meeting:
"Today was interesting. The new OSCE moderator Sylvia Berman made her debut. It started with a little confusion; she wasn't quite aware of the details yet. The Russian delegation took advantage of this and offered to declare the informal meeting formal. She did it. We sat down at the negotiating table, Ukraine's ORDLO representatives. Then the well-known Maya Pirogova was introduced into the virtual room of negotiations, who represented, so to speak, 'public experts from ORDLO.' We, as we have repeatedly warned, including today, as we also warned Ms. Sylvia Berman, we left the negotiating table, and the negotiating room, because we won't sit at the same table with a person convicted of terrorism," the negotiation participant said.
As Harmash noted, as a result, "there was an awkward situation when Sylvia Berman was actually alone in the meeting room."
"We had to settle this issue with additional contacts at the level of telephone calls and continue the meeting as an informal meeting. This is an awkward situation," he added.
