Kyiv now has a vehicle for cleaning beaches. Besides Ukraine, it's only available in Los Angeles
The "Pleso" public utility company which protects, maintains, and operates the lands of the Kyiv water fund, now uses a new technique, a special vehicle for garbage collection of the smallest fraction. It includes broken glass, cigarette butts, and even needles.

Such a vehicle is the only one in Ukraine so far; the equipment is available only in Kyiv and on the beaches of sunny Los Angeles. The machine clings to the tractor like a trailer and is called a "barber" because it literally "combs" the sand with knitting needles, followed by a manual machine for cleaning sand.
Now the barber works on 9 beaches of Kyiv: Venetsia, Molodizhnyi, Halera, Telbin, Predmostnyi, Zolotyi, Tsentralnyi, and also on beaches of Chortoryi and Troieshchyna, from Monday to Friday 1 time a day, early in the morning, while citizens having a rest haven't arrived at the beach. The entire process takes about 3-4 hours, and the next day it all starts again until the end of the season.
The equipment was purchased at public expense, but with the support of the "Let's do it Ukraine" organization which has set a goal for 2021-2023 to improve the quality of beaches and accustom Ukrainians to a culture of cleanliness, teach not only not to leave garbage behind but also to sort it correctly.
